Our Vision
We are a diverse Christian community of all ages and backgrounds, from many nations, that exist to bring hope to Central and Northern Australia and beyond with a life-changing message.

To help people connect, grow and serve together to see lives flourish, leaders raised and communities influenced with our message of hope in Christ.
Our Global Mission
There is no tension in our church between local and global missions. We are passionate about making a difference down our road and around our world. From the heart of Australia, we have a heart for the globe.
Our Values
CONNECT
We see a community where all find a sense of belonging, contribution, life-giving fellowship. We gather in circles and rows. Rows connect us to God and mission (services and events). Circles connect us together and on purpose (connect groups, departments, social gatherings, friendships, serve teams). We aren’t just a crowd; we’re a family.
GROW
We see a community where people develop and mature in awareness, identity and ability. We grow through mentoring and discipleship, as well as training, short courses, recovery ministry pathways and service/leadership experience.
SERVE
We see a community that serves others. We cultivate our calling and gifts in worship, rest and play. We model, empower and teach as we connect with our wider community. We believe “ministry” is for all and our job is to encourage each other as we meet needs and heal hurts of our immediate and extended communities.
FLOURISH
We see a community where people are empowered to live abundant lives. Our initiatives strive to help people flourish as they deepen their knowledge and awareness of the barriers and opportunities to living a free, large and full life.
LEAD
We see a community that raises up leaders who model a life of service, integrity and commitment. Our leaders, whether staff or volunteer, carry the vision and invite others along. They motivate and mobilise. They reproduce in others. We believe every person can find a place to lead.
INFLUENCE
We see a community filled with excellence, connection and trust. We strive to build healthy relationships, which moves our communities for the greater good. Together we reconcile physical, spiritual and emotional hurts. Our mission is one of relational Kingdom influence both locally and globally. We want to have an effect—to make a difference in the world.

Partnered with Hope Centre
For over 40 years Desert Life Church has shared the gospel from Australia’s Red Centre, Alice Springs in the Northern Territory.
Desert Life Church is a part of Hope Centre. We have a strategic alliance and kingdom partnership with Hope Centre. Our church, our staff and leadership team come under the direct oversight of the Senior Pastors, Wayne and Lyn Alcorn, as part of the Hope Centre family. Together our kingdom partnership sees a fusion of ministry, vision and resources which strengthens both churches, to see more effective ministry in the Northern Territory and beyond.
Our church and our Pastoral team are part of the (ACC) Australian Christian Churches, one of Australia’s largest Christian movements which is seeing explosive growth across our land. Ps Wayne is the national president of the ACC.
